Peter Rawlinson noted that their first production run of 500 vehicles is almost fully sold out. At a price of $161,000, this is $80m in pre-orders right off the bat.
Tesla trades at a 20x sales to market cap multiple, if we apply that to the info disclosed in the Lucid Motors Investor presentation, we can see that this gives us a market cap of $44bn ($30 a share) in 2022, $110bn ($68 a share) in 2023 and $280bn ($170 a share) in 2025. Wow.
Peter Rawlinson from Lucid Motors & CCIV also noted that because Lucid raised $4.5bn from the reverse merger, they wont need to issue additional shares, which is something Tesla have done many times over. This is good news as it means your shares wont be diluted.
A seperate revenue stream for Lucid could be Roadside assistance, Peter wants to have a fleet of mobile service vans to be able to service and repair customer vehicles, and has already started purchasing vans for this fleet!
Peter is also planning a potential partnership with a large automaker to bring to market a $25,000 'mass market EV' in the next 3-4 years.
