As you can see, I destroy two chains to let the floor collapse. This was intended by the developers, but not from the top.
So, normally you would walk through the entire level just to destroy these two pillars down there and then, as a shortcut, you could get up into the main room by destroying these two chains.
Funnily enough, the developers made the chains so they can only be destroyed by the light saber.(In the editor, they are marked as "Saber only")
Makes sense; otherwise you could shoot them from above and do what I just did.
But it looks like they forget that the light saber is still a damage source when falling off of a saber throw. Or maybe they did not expect one to throw the saber that far.
Gratings in this game usually act as a solid brush for the player, but not for weapon projectiles. Well, the saber counts as one too it seems.
So, long story short:

1) Take a good position on the grating. I like to stand on the edge of the second / fourth square.
2) Find the correct angle; mind that you want to reflect the saber from the floor once.
3) Throw your saber and immediately disable it. It then will fall down with a speed depending on your angle.
4) Destroy both chains.
