Vanilla Ice is the sub-boss in the game. He is an unplayable character.

===== About Vanilla Ice / Iced =====
In this first Jojo's game, Vanilla Ice is a completely unique boss character with his own design, sprites, voice and moves. Being a CPU-only character, he has far less sprites and animation when compared to the regular playable characters.

He is fully playable under human control, all of his moves can be performed just like when the CPU controls him. As a bonus, playing as him means that you can get to see his jumps and jumping basics - something the CPU never does with him. You can also do the Tandem move with him as well, which is another thing the CPU doesn't do with him.

When playing through single-player with him, the game will freeze when you reach the "end".

Overall, I think he's definitely one of the best non-selectable characters to play as, because you're getting to control a completely unique character in the game.

---- His character select screen portrait is a messed up image of Shadow Dio and Young Joseph behind as the 'stand'.

---- When you press a button to select him, the voice of Young Joseph is used.

---- He has a winning screen portrait, but his shirt is colored light grey.

---- His 'Here Comes A New Challenger' portrait is Jotaro's image.

---- On his winning screen he uses Jotato's quotes.

---- When his moves hit the opponent (not blocked), they do not register any score.

---- Because he is an unplayable character, his "story cut-scenes" are just an odd series of repeats of other character's cut-scenes.

---- He is strictly locked onto his own background for the most. He can appear on different backgrounds, but only if the other side is "locked" as well. For example, Death 13 can make him appear on the fairground background.

---- As mentioned earlier, when the CPU controls him, he NEVER jumps or uses any jumping basics.

---- When playing through the game with him in single-player mode, all his opponents will be Jotaro.

---- He cannot crouch down. If you press Down, he'll just stand as normal.

---- He has just the one colour palette.
