Description:
Once again, eight more travelers will unite in order to complete their own personal journeys in Solistia, a land going through its own steam age. This time, travelers get both day and night path actions to increase their range of options, unfortunately for the residents of each town who have to put up with them. However, like before, a dark conspiracy ties all of their paths together, and they'll have to find the most broken class combinations if they want to win.

The situation gets so bad that the human village has to team up with the Beastlings.

The leader of the monsters turns out to be the animal companion that you didn't choose at the start of Ochette's story. But what if you had skipped Ochette's chapter 1?
The Darkling is too powerful for even the legendary beasts and knocks Ochette off the cliff. However, she somehow uses the power of the Sacred Flame to empower Akala and Acta.
52:11 Boss: Malamaowl of the Sorrowful Moon
You are scripted to use Cateracta's max boost buff at the start of the fight, giving the party a defensive buff. Obviously, you'll want to have Castti restore BP afterwards.
As the battle rages on, the Darkling will prey on a traveler to gain a special buff and mutate further. Some travelers will give her stronger abilities, and Throné will end up giving her an extra turn. Also, the Darkling won't die until she preys on all four party members, with Ochette being the last one. Partitio is highly recommended because his buff to the Darkling can be mitigated with his evasion buff and he can set up magic reflection as well.
I ended up finishing her off with Akala's max boost. The companions' Darkling forms are actually based on their awakened max boost forms.

Ochette gives a friendship jerky to the Darkling so that she can find peace as she dies. The two sides of the village officially make peace and Ochette accepts her role as the island's protector.
