26In this week's JRPTea-Time we talk about the crazy price increases collector's editions have received in just a few short years. The "standard" collector's edition has increased by another $50 and we are no longer getting value for money.

Even if we ignore the insanely overpriced $300-$400 collector's editons like Mass Effect Andromeda, Middle Earth: Shadow of War, Final Fantasy XV, and The Last Guardian, we are still paying a lot more for "regular" collector's editions now than we were a few years ago, and in a lot of cases they are actually worse than they used to be.

I'm still a sucker for a Collector's edition but I wish we could go back to how they were with Tales of Xillia 1 and 2, they were good value for money and weren't chock full of cheap garbage.
