651Just a brief explanation of the pause jumping exploit in Mega Man 2. Every time you unpause, the game resets Mega Man's falling speed as if he had just begun his descent.
So if you jump, then begin to rapidly pause and unpause just after the apex of Mega Man's jump, he will remain in the air for much longer than a normal jump (even when discounting the pause time).
This trick allows you to gain greater horizontal distance with a single jump, as demonstrated in this short.
