Можжевельник (Juniper) Original Composition for Solo Clarinet
Можжевельник (Juniper) evokes to us the tall, steeply rising and outreaching form of the juniper tree, with branches extending in all directions. Elegant and inviting is the tree, though is also prickly at the same time, being more pleasant at a short distance than right up against it. The juniper almost dances as gusts of wind blows through it, but gradually halts as its dance partner travels away. The juniper is still again and we are only left with its inherent elegance, waiting for the next performance.
This is a virtual performance done using Sibelius. There are certain nuances in the playing that are either obscured or lost, namely way the grace notes should be played, with the feathered beams. A real performance would sound much better, but I don't play clarinet and I don't really know anyone who does. If someone does, let me know if you would like to play this piece!
