Jurassic Park: The Game - Cut Carnotaurus Ford Explorer Chase Sequence
6Judging from what remained in the game files (multilanguage scripts and voice files, nothing else afaik) this chase was supposed to take place during Scenario #10: Back On Track. Supposedly still happening from Sorkin's perspective (before the Nima-Jess translating sequence!) we were meant to remote control the Ford Explorer while it was being chased by some freshly escaped Carnotaurs. The voice files suggest that we were meant to be able to at least accidentally re-open the doors of the car to get our protagonists killed by their chasers and also put the car in reverse (maybe in case we missed a turn or to confuse the Carnos?). Voices and scripts aside I found no other references relating to this segment. Not among the textures and models anyway (maybe in the gameplay scripts?). As of now I have no method for opening the level files though I'd love to because I don't find it unlikely that the geometry of the Sorkin Lab/Triceratops Pen Day map might still hold the cut segment in it as well. Then again maybe not as many of Sorkin's lines here are performed by a placeholder actress, so who knows.
This game needs some proper datamining love, someone please make a level viewer or something, I really want to check the game's maps. x3
