I see why... it was cheap. XPI-3288 has abysmal support from Linux. Not even in mainline. The vendor's support is abysmal too, with a Android Nougat image and a Android BSP based Debian image that nobody knows how to install.
Since Android is already on the eMMC, I had to kill the eMMC by penetrating it with thumbtacks. Then I could boot my SD card, using Tinker Edge S as a test image.
The DTB is another board's DTB yes, and I had to disable udev and USB functionality to prevent the board from crashing. But it appears to work.
And now the board's hurled. Oh ho ho. The End.
