I've already landed on the Mun using only the cockpit view, but in v0.18 a new crew pod was introduced, designed specifically for landers. However, this stripped down model lacks a coupe of useful instruments. Nevertheless I set off to show that even without knowing speed and altitude for most of the trip that it was possible to navigate to other worlds by hand.
