This is "Kessakusen! Ganbare Goemon 1+2: Yuki-hime to Magginesu", released in Japan only, which is basically Goemon 1 (The Legend of the Mystical Ninja) and Goemon 2 combined on the game boy advance. This port has a lot of differences compared to the original, and some strategies either don't work or are modified slightly...

Still a lot of deaths in this run, but it went pretty well until zone 4. Thinking that it will definitely be possible to get sub 40 on this version before the original. Played on emulator (Bizhawk v2.6.2 w/ mGBA core).
