Kikoskia’s All-New Hearthstone Adventures: Hello! Hello! Hello!
The mech type of minion wasn’t always a part of the game, though mechs have been in there since the beginning. They were only given the mech type in Goblins Vs Gnomes when a lot of synergy cards were created that revolved around mechs. After that expansion however they were never again the main focus of an expansion, though there was often one or two mechs released with each batch of new cards. This all changed with The Boomsday Project where once again mechs were planned to take a central role, this time with the Magnetic keyword. Though they didn’t quite take off like they were planned to, it does give the mechs of the past some much needed versatility which I’ve decided to experiment with with a wild paladin mech deck.
The aim of the minion-heavy deck is to get great value and tempo from the mech cards played. Be it with sticky minions that put other minions on the board when they die, magnetic mechs that allow you burst out a lot of damage suddenly or make a very favourable trade or a small hoard of silver hand recruits from Muster for Battle, your goal is to get the board early and keep it while pressing home damage. You run the risk of running out of fuel but hopefully the card draw and discover cards you have will appear so you can refuel. If that doesn’t work or you play against a deck that’s faster then you or heavy control then you’re in some bother, but that’s just how Hearthstone goes sometimes, eh? I personally really enjoy playing this deck and, with a little further tweaking, I feel it’ll do that much better. I just need to figure out what cards to switch out and I can only do that through seeing how the deck performs.
