Kill Knight (PC) Regret Mode Playthrough (FULL GAME)
Around 21 hours 54 minutes to beat. Finally broke through and completed the game. I settled on the easiest mode, Regret, for my first playthrough. For this video I edited out all the failed attempts on the stages and show the first death on the final boss, since it unlocks a new checkpoint, so I showed it to demonstrate how progression works during the fight. All the other deaths on the final boss were edited out. The game has NO checkpoints during the stages as its an endurance type of game. Stages tend to be around 10 + minutes depending how fast you clear the enemies out. The enemy waves are always the same. Once you complete a stage on a given difficulty that stage is unlocked to start from, the next time you boot the game up on that difficulty. You have to unlock the 5 stages for each difficulty if you want to play through multiple difficulties.
The 4th and 5th "layers" took multiple hours each to beat. So did other stages but these two may have easily taken 5+The hours each. The game is extremely difficult on any difficulty setting and has a low completion percentage even on this easiest mode. The final boss was relatively easy for me taking me only around 15 minutes to beat. The biggest roadblocks were stages 4 and 5 which took the longest to complete. The game has 5 stages total, but each gets alot harder. They are endurance battles without alot of room for error.
Next I will lean toward completing the Hardest Mode, Severence. Since I really enjoyed the game. I may also mix in completions of stages on other difficulties too,as I work my way through. I jumped around alot so I dont have an isolated completion time for Regret mode. I also completed stages on other difficulties as well as failed attempts on those. I may try the 1CC mode after completing Severence mode, which is what interests me more. I will post up progress, failed attempts and completed stages on Severence, like usual.
The full playthrough of Regret Mode will be up soon too. I will probably do a tutorial with commentary once I complete the hardest mode, Sufferance. It would be redundant to do two tutorials of the full game.
Stay tuned !!
