I spent more time setting up the Joycons with bluetooth on my PC and then getting them to work right on the Yuzu emulator, then playing the game. It turned out I needed a slightly newer version of Yuzu, the latest version, to eliminate all the input lag I was getting initially. I still have my joycons from the Switch console.

I mostly played the game seated which made things more difficult. I ended up standing in the back of the room by the end since this game requires alot of strange movements and doesnt always register well. That helped.
