Killer Bits #25 - NFC Chips & Broken Games
The phrase "better late than never" is probably appropriate for this episode of the show, as we take a look at the current trend of publishers rushing out broken games in order to hit their Christmas release windows. With huge AAA titles like Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Warlords of Draenor and Assassin's Creed Unity all plagued with glitches and bugs at launch we try to figure out the causes and work out our own unique solutions (that don't involve the inevitable Day One Patch).
We also take a look at the near-field communication revolution as we chat about the release of Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and Nintendo introducing their own line of NFC chipped toys in the form of Amiibos.
And as if that wasn't enough Toby brings us his Christmas buyers guide to what exactly is the best toy-video game hybrid as hit pits Skylanders: Trap Team against Disney's Infinity 2.0. And Peter is practicing his archery and turning small animals into fashionable belts in his review of Far Cry 4.
