Killing Floor 2 | BE THE BEST GUNSLINGER! - Gunslinger Perk Guide
Every thing I said is here if you like to read more than listen :D
The gunslinger specializes in akimbo pistols. It existed as a popular server mod perk in the days of the Killing Floor mod, but its skills were merged with that of the sharpshooter for the retail
version of Killing Floor and has since been split again.
You are going to be seeing me bash alot in this background gameplay, and I will answer why In just a minute.
To be the most usefull or most effective with the gunslinger... You just need to run around and headshot as many things as you can. You're fast but fragile. To be honest the gunslinger is more of a sharshooter than the acctual shrapshooter itself.
Ok lets jump right in to the skills
- For the level 5 skills its really up to you. I personaly aim alot with the gunslinger so I use the steady skill.
- For the level 10 skills I know alot of people use rack em up but I personaly dont like it that much so I rather have the guaranted 20% more damage
- The level 15 skills are pretty self explanitory you need the speedloader
- The level 20 skills depend on you and what you like doing. Slow them down or knock them down you anything you choose is fine.
- And for the level 25 skills is again up to you but I personaly like to shoot faster and kill faster in zed time.
Great now for the boring part the bonuses you get while playing and leveling up:
-Perk Weapon Damage (1% / Level) A max of 25%
-Bullet Resistance (base 5% + 1% / Level) A max of 30%
-Movement Speed (0.8% / Level) A max of 20%
-Recoil (1% / Level) A max of 25%
-Zedtime Reload (3% / Level) A max of 75%
Ok now that thats out of the way lets get down to the weapons:
-1858 Revolver
-M1911
-Desert Eagle
-.500 Magnum Revolver
you can dual wield all of these weapons.
Now Im going to tell you how I personaly use the weapons on a long hell on earth multiplayer game (keep in mind this is how I always play, irrelevent of the difficulty and lenght) The 1858 revolvers are only good for the first wave. When I have enough I buy the 1911's and role with them until I can afford the desert eagles. And when I have enough for the dual 500. magnums I buy them.
And yes you can have all of them at once. I use the same weapons for the boss aswell.
Ok its time for strategy.
The gunslinger as I said before is fast. Use that to your advantage and run away from truble. When you see a scrake or fleshpound try and headshot him to slow him down if you have that skill or shoot in
their legs to knock them down. Its a good teamplay perk to have. Try and conserve your ammo as much as possible... While you have 3 types of dual guns they burn trough ammo fast. So pick your targets and try headshooting them as much as you can. The best gun is the 500. revolver but it was recently nerfed with regards of its shooting speed.
I personaly think that this perk is great for hell on earth... its fast and can dish out alot of damage. But only play hell on earth with this perk when you reach level 20 and up.
As you probably saw me bash after every reload by now and wondered why the hell im doing that well you can acctualy cancel the reload animation and decrease it by 40% which means reload faster and shoot more often. I highly recommend doing this unless you like watching the reload animation all the way trough.
Ok there is really not much more to talk about for the gunslinger anymore so lets sum it up:
A fast high damage dealing perk that can easily take on every zed that comes in its crosshair. I highly reccomend this perk.
