I decided to have a quick look at this game and I believe I have found something. If you use the grappling hook into a flat wall, you can literally just clip into the wall. From there, you can jump out of the wall with a precise jump. You can even continue to scale the wall if it is large enough. It is pretty difficult, The jump out of the wall is a 2 frame trick but it should have some uses in the run.
I use it in the first clip to skip a section where you need Ron to stand on a button. You can scale up the wall and you don't have to switch to Ron until you reach the Monkey Temple.
