Cutscene storage was patched in this game but there is still one use for frame perfect pausing before a cutscene. If you pause the frame before the cutscene at the end of level 1 starts. You can unpause and then load back into the level. You can then get back on the button and you will instantly load back into the GJ Simulator, skipping a few cutscenes and allowing you to immediately move. This saves around 3.5-4 seconds although it is frame perfect.
