Kingdom Death: The Generic Class Holy Mage unboxed
52Apologies for not posting some of the newer stuff I've been working on, but it's been so ungodly hot in my part of Southern California I just couldn't be bothered. Temperature was over 115+ degrees today. NOT FUN.
What was fun was trying to get this model all put together. This model had some weird flash in obnoxious spots, the tassels on her shawl broken, and she's in an awkward stance with only one heel supporting her. Sounds like a Kingdom Death model, doesn't it?
The Holy Mage is part of the Generic Class line, a set of models re-imagining
traditional character jobs from RPGs. I'll be honest- she doesn't feel like much of a re- imagining, more like a KD styled mage. She's wearing clothes though, which is a bit of a rarity for KD models. Then again that dress is beyond skin tight judging by the art... not that mine will end up looking that detailed, but I'm alright with that too.
There's certainly not enough whips on the tabletop either, so our holy mage friend here gets a pass from me. Makes me think of Castlevania to be honest. Perhaps models like this will get us one step closer to some Ayami Kojima styled pretty boy vampires. Or Alucard. I'd settle for a good and proper Symphony of the Night Alucard.
Fingers crossed I can keep this model in one piece!
