Warhammer Underworlds: The Grymwatch unboxed!
55A little late with this video, but I figured I should post it as I'm pretty deep into getting them painted, and one step closer to finishing up all of the Beastgrave warbands- both in terms of filming them as well as getting them all painted. Sad fact- I haven't had a chance to even get Beastgrave on the table yet! At least Nightvault got regular play...
I was curious about how the Grymwatch would turn out due to the ghouls of the Flesh Eater Courts being somewhat bland kits. There just wasn't a lot of character to them and consisting of very few units, they got same-y really quick.
At least the Grymwatch has a bit more personality to them, despite still being filthy degenerates playing with their victims' remains. I constantly worried I'd break a piece of them while putting them together. Lots of little bits sticking off of them this way and that.
While these are a step closer to the kinds of ghouls the fluff describes, I feel like they still aren't taking them as far the theme of deranged would- be nobles completely out of touch with their reality could be taken.
I guess the kind of Flesh Eater Courts I want to see are going to have to be conversions, as they're such a ripe and under- represented army. It's nice to at least get some unique sculpts for them via Warhammer Underworlds. Plus we get a nice pair of bats!
