We're big fans of The Others around these parts... or the models, at least.
When I saw Archvillian Games' Death Crowns release I was blown away by both the quantity and variety of models they had available.
My eyes were instantly drawn to the Stitched Abominations. With a total of four different variations (two male, two female) the stitched abominations are some rather unique looking monstrosities that would be great in undead armies and encounters. Most are large enough that they take up the bulk of a build plate by themselves. There is very little in the way of construction but be prepared for a lot of supports to remove.
One cool thing that Archvillian Games does is create adventure models that tie on all the models released that month for those that are interested. I like the fact that this goes beyond just stat blocks and tables, but takes it to the next level and gives you a good reason to print all this craziness up.
The abominations felt like of homages to The Others' sins, Lust in particular. So much so I decided to nag my brother for his painted ones, both to show off and let you see their similarities and differences. I think they'd both work great together, especially seeing as how Others expansions can be found quite cheaply (and you're in the market for disturbing monsters).
The two of us have been trying to figure out a good rule set to use for disturbing monsters such as all these on display or from games like Deep Madness in fights with modern/ near future military. Any thoughts?
If you want some big, twisted, detailed, monsters, do give Archvillian Games a look!
