Honestly, I feel this fight is much easier then people make it out to be. This entire fight revolves around two things, sound cues and responding to those cues. Due to Oogie's taunting, he telegraphs his attacks more openly then any other boss in the game so all you have to do is know how to respond to everything.

"That's right, away you go!"
The main attack the entire fight revolves around. He will send out 3 boxes that you can use an Reaction Command on that will damage his platform. It takes 12 boxes for the platform to break and from there you can get a fixed amount of damage. Note I said "fixed" because no amount of limits or anything will boost how much you do. Every time he falls, he can only take a specific amount of damage and he can't damage you in the process. It basically boils down to you breaking the platform 3 times and then you win. Your damage output doesn't matter. Also important to remember is that Oogie will often execute another attack after the third box comes out and your still hitting them so be wary of when you hit them.

"I'll squash you flat!"
This attack brings down a giant fist that skims along your lane punching the ground along the way. I highly recommend having Wisdom at LV3 by the time you get here because Quick Run makes it possible to dodge attacks like this that would otherwise be near impossible without Reflect. This attack is easy to dodge, just follow the shadow and Quick Run right after it hits.

"Ugh!" (Grunting sound?)
This is attack is by far the most important one to listen for. Oogie drops an exploding die on you which can very easily snipe you while your hitting a box onto the platform. For most of the fight you can Quick Run to avoid this but later on when things get more claustrophobic, you can't reliable dodge this without running into something else so you have to Reflect instead.

"Hope you like the Boogie gift I picked out for you."
This attack spawns a few bags that will break and spawn enemies. The enemies that spawn from these are very annoying to fight, especially in these tiny lanes so your better off just jumping to another lane and then jumping back. Doing so will usually result in the enemy dying or despawning.

"Now, you just try dodging this..."
Oogie sends out multiple lightning bolts that move along either the left or right side of the lane. Don't be greedy with the boxes, only go for them if you are absolutely sure you don't get hit because even though they don't one-shot, the lightning will drag you back to the spikes and kill you.

"Come on, baby."
I hate this attack, it's extremely scary at LV1. Oogie sends out a combination of boxes and bags but the thing here is that the bags break very quickly. You just BARELY have enough time to get off the lane before the enemy spawns and hits you. Mash that triangle and get off as soon as you hear this. It's also quite common for this to be his final attack before the platform breaks for the third time so you will most likely have to kill the heartless before you finish off Oogie.
