Right off the bat, this fight is way easier then it looks. The trickiest thing about Xigbar is just finding the openings because they are kind of weird and precise. The one opening in particular where you block the 4 heavy shots and then air step is only barely possible. If you go too early, the forth shot will hit you and if you go too late, he will get super armor.
Xigbar continues the trend of following one strict attack pattern the entire fight. He can occasionally interrupt his pattern with a DM or field change but they are all heavily telegraphed and he will return to his old pattern right after. The one move you need to be careful of above all other is the charged laser. He will always do this move after the opening with the 4 heavy shots as mentioned above. While early in the fight you can deal with the lasers, you don't want to let him launch it later. Later on, he will start teleporting into the air before he fires and when he does, he will shoot 3 charged lasers at once. This move is incredibly difficult to avoid so your best off just stopping it from happening.
You might also notice I am missing one of my usual abilities, Quick Slash. This fight is almost entirely airborne and Quick Slash is terrible at hitting enemies above you. The first hit sweeps low and very commonly whiffs enemies higher then you which gives Xigbar enough time to break out. Even without it, Xigbar will sometimes break out because of how fast he recovers from stagger.
