Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind - Yozora (LV1 Critical) *No Damage*
Here we are, the final battle of Kingdom Hearts 3. Though Yozora is officially the strongest character in the game, I would definitely not call him the hardest boss. In a blind setting he is definitely the hardest fight in the game but when you know what are you doing, I think some data fights are harder. Yozora is fair and doesn't have any sort of BS you really need to watch out for. He just has a lot of health and long stretches without openings, so the real challenge is having the endurance to handle such a long fight.
So Yozora does technically have a fixed attack pattern but it's not always the same pattern, he basically chooses from a pool of patterns that is randomized every fight. However, knowing these many patterns doesn't really matter because most of what Yozora does is reactable. He doesn't have that annoying jank where you try to block early but get hit because his attack is just delayed enough to hit you in block cooldown. He does tend to always follow up specific attacks with other specific attacks though, which is easier to keep track of then his overall attack pattern.
With this in mind, I did try to squeeze out more damage with Ultimate Form but found this to be a bad idea. Unlike other fights, Ultimate actually works extremely well here and makes many of his attacks much easier to dodge. The problem is that his long gaps between openings is really hard on the form gauge. I always found myself reverting at the absolute most inconvenient times possible, like when he does the behind the back sword slash. So take my word and don't bother trying to use Ultimate for more then one cycle unless your form storing.
The DM is; again; not that hard, just really long. You do have to do some very weird and specific things though. For the first four lasers, you need to double jump after the first dodge or else you will be stuck in air slide cooldown for the second laser. The mechs were always the worst part for me and I imagine most people but luckily, there is a fairly easy way to dodge it. The movement here is taken from Violin's blindfolded run and man does it work. Just roll in a square shape with two roll between each turn and you will dodge it most of the time. It's not perfect and you will get hit sometimes but it's good enough that I never fear this part anymore. For the final part, I much prefer looking at the sphere instead of the outer wall. You can't really tell when he appears behind you so I find it easier to just pay attention to his health bar instead of memorizing his whole pattern. Just know that after the two back slashes, he will do three more rushes before it ends. That is the moment you slide into a glide.
After the DM, he will always do the armor attack. If you have Counter Slash you can break but again, I just prefer to wait out the move. His first slash always whiffs so just be aware to block the second set. He also gains a crazy long move in the second phase that involves many lasers and slashes. As mentioned above, there is nothing wrong with trying to block early and whiffing. His attacks are either instant or delayed long enough for you to guard again. Whenever he does the attack where he just does fake outs over and over again, pay attention to his positioning. The fake outs only come from directly in front of you so when he moves to the side, that is the real thing.
