Previously, Sora and company farmed for some synthesis materials in the Cavern of Remembrance. Now, as part of finishing off synthesis, they must acquire three more Lost Illusions, which will require them to participate in three data battles against any of the Organization members that were in Absent Silhouettes: Vexen, Lexaeus, Zexion, Marluxia, or Larxene. In this video, the party will fight Lexaeus, Marluxia, and Zexion in that order.

After preparing themselves, the party touches down at the Postern on Hollow Bastion (time 1:11). From the Postern, they go east to the Restoration Site (time 1:29) and then east again to the Garden of Assemblage (time 1:41).

In the Garden of Assemblage, they examine Keyhole V in the northwest for Lexaeus (time 1:58). After confirming their choice to get pounded to a pulp, the party does battle with Lexaeus in a data battle. Lex is a good foretaste of the excessively overpowered Organization members in these data battles. Lexaeus will boost up his power much more often than he did in the Absent Silhouette battle. Fortunately, he seems to be the least difficult of the data battles.

After a brief fight, the party defeats Lexaeus in the data battle (time 5:22). They earn a Lost Illusion.

Back in the Postern, they rest and prepare to do battle with Marluxia (time 6:50). They pack plenty of Ethers because I plan to make frequent use of Limits.

In the Garden of Assemblage, they examine Keyhole XI in the northeast for Marluxia (time 7:52). Marluxia will start right away in his second stage, where he wraps Sora in deadly thorns and creates large thorny pools on the floor. The counter above Sora's head is again a major cause for concern. Now, he will be even more relentless in the latter part of the battle, particularly with his teleport attacks and angel of death routine.

After a nasty battle, the party finally defeats Marluxia (time 17:17). They earn another Lost Illusion.

Back in the Postern, they rest and prepare for battle against Zexion (time 19:16). Shortcutting Firaga will help, as will equipping some Megalixirs.

In the Garden of Assemblage, they examine Keyhole VI in the south for Zexion (time 20:29). He will be much more aggressive about trapping the party in his books this time, especially as his hit points dwindle. Firaga is a good way to help get them out. When he does trap Sora, he will start right away with lethal book tricks, such as sealing Sora's commands and trapping him in a page-tearing attack. The page-tearing attack is likely to lead to the party's demise in a matter of seconds. I recommend executing a Limit such as Duck Flare right away to avoid this and locating Zexion's book without delay. The sooner the party gets out of his bad books, the sooner they can do some more damage to him. If you're not good at his Zexion Says game, be sure to have a Limit ready right away. Just as soon as you get out of the book, nail him with a combo right away.

After much book mayhem, the party finally defeats Zexion (time 31:36). They earn a third well-deserved Lost Illusion.

Over in the Marketplace, the party turns in their latest batch of synthesis materials to Mog the Moogle (time 35:12). They will hold off the actual synthesis until they have Energy Crystals to lower the material usage.

The party will farm for the remaining synthesis materials in the next episode.
