I don't recall a lot of games that could be considered great artworks, but Klonoa on the Wii would definitely be part of that group. I never really had a chance to play the original on PS1, so I had lots to look forward too when I bought the remake and thankfully it excelled beyond all my original expectations. Beautifully drawn out lush environments, wonderful 2.5D gameplay, and compelling story-telling with memorable characters. Though the game length is short, it still leaves a memorable impression. I actually started playing Klonoa games when I came across one the GBA and recalled several references to the title character from Tales of Symphonia (GC) and several game sites I've visited. Klonoa is an awesome game character. Wahoo!

*I've chosen to play using the Phantomile (or rearranged Jap) dub instead of the english since I prefer that Klonoa's "Wahoo!" over the english one. It may seem superficial, but Klonoa's iconic word is said over billions of time in this game, and I'd probably go nuts if I had to listen to the english dub version of it like the intro screen.

*Speaking of Wahoo!, I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that coupon flyer for a Wahoo Fish Taco restaurant in my Klonoa game when I first opened it.

*I recorded this playthrough using my Dazzle, and it took me about a day's length to figure out the best way to capture the Dazzle footage and produce the videos. That was really frustrating. The former was the worst stage because I originally used Windows Movie Maker to capture my Dazzle footage, but the stupid program wouldn't stop crashing (not to mention I had to find the installer program beforehand since I couldn't install Windows XP SP2, being that I had SP3 installed already). I was close to banging my head on the wall after googling 3 hours for solutions until I realized that VirtualDub was able to capture Dazzle footage, in fact even better quality than Movie Maker. I recommend VirtualDub to extract Dazzle footage (if you have a Dazzle), the quality is decent, file size does jump a bit, but not hard to handle, and best of all its a freeware.

*WARNING* The video volume was A LOT louder than I expected when I watched what I recorded from my Dazzle; however this is probably better than if it were too quiet (My first Soul Blazer videos for instance) because at least in this case, volume adjustment is more effective. I'm not sure about the impact of the hyped up volume or if it really poses a problem, but I feel like a warning is justified.

Title music is Stepping Wind from Namco X Capcom and Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil.

Klonoa is owned by Namco Bandai, copyright 1997, 2009.
