I set about to try to make a working hoist for the Saturn tower hammerhead crane, but ran into some problemss. I never could get it to work right, and then I realized it would only be usable for one specific height of the tower. So in the end I made a much simpler hoist intended purely for show.

The hoist trolley does move in and out along the crane boom, and a shorter hoist does go up and down. It does have the problem where I think moving the trolley after raising/lowering the hoist causes the next hoist motion to happen instantly. Oh well.
