We're actually playing something brand new for a change, lol. Kunitsu-Gami Path of the Goddess was definitely a passion project for Capcom. It's a very artsy, beautiful game filled with Japanese folklore. The gameplay itself is an interesting blend of tower defense, action, and real-time strategy. There's a good mix of boss fights as well. Path of the Goddess does a really good job of introducing new mechanics almost every single level, and there's plenty of upgrades to choose from for your units or main character. The main drawbacks for me personally were the repetitive village repairs that aren't really interactive, and the difficulty itself was way too forgiving, where I felt like I was so powerful I had to restrict myself to add some challenge. There are side objectives that try to solve this but ironically make the game easier by giving you better rewards. With that being said, I really enjoyed this, and I hope Capcom continues to make original ideas like this and take chances. This is Part 2 of our playthrough.
