L.A. Noire - Cole vs Lorna and Leroy pt. 1 (A Marriage Made in Heaven)
2No one has still put a stop to Cole's glitchy atrocities, so his path of petty mischief and destruction will continue. Next up are the suspects Lorna Pattison and Leroy Sabo, who are almost always seen together, hence they are included in the same batch of videos.
0:00 - you can very easily break into the Pattison apartment since it has both a front and a back door. Just fool your partner to run through the apartment somehow, and he will open the doors for you.
Lorna is nowhere to be found in her apartment until you approach the front door, at which point she suddenly materializes into existence. Perhaps Lorna has some ninja or bard training, enabling her to hide and appear at a moment's notice. Something to think about.
(The same is true near the end of the case - typically Lorna is not at her home until you bang on the door, at which point she suddenly appears.)
1:17 - Cole uses a civilian to shake up the suspects a little. Unfortunately you can't steal Mrs. Pattison's seat because it can't be used by Cole.
1:39 - Cole attempts to lure Leroy Sabo out of the apartment and arrange an "accident" for him before interrogating Lorna. However, this proves very cumbersome because Sabo at his current state stands completely still and can't be pushed by Cole, so you have to knock him around with a civilian. However, you can turn him to the direction you want by talking to him.
2:16 - stairs are often a huge problem when taking NPCs around the place. But there's more about this in the later parts. Also, Sabo seems to be made of liquid metal like T-1000.
2:30 - this time fate didn't smile on Cole. He was "hoisted by his own petard", so to speak, as the unsuspecting Sabo accidentally blocked him in a tight corner. Now Cole was permanently stuck behind Sabo's muscular back... your adventures have ended here!
3:00 - it's far easier to take out Sabo after the interrogation instead. He says he will head back to work and then he starts walking away from the Pattison apartment. While he is difficult to trap at the moment (and he doesn't even have reactions to being driven against by a car), I somehow managed to make him stop on his tracks by driving him away from his route into the wilderness.
4:02 - then it was just a question of luring a civilian nearby and collapsing Sabo against the vehicle. I didn't try to push Sabo anywhere closer to the road because that might have sprung him back to activity, you see.
First attempt ended in failure, and Stefan also became injured in the process. Fortunately he didn't die, because that would've meant extra work setting this whole thing up again.
4:27 - Sayonara, Mr. Sabo...
4:45 - I later found out I would have been spared all this trouble had I just ran down Sabo with a car as he is walking outside the Pattison apartment. He is always seen doing this if you just reload your save near the Pattison home before the interrogation.
