God of War: Ascension E3 Demo speedrun in 2:22
55Alright, one last thing before I go on that break - a speedrun of this short, fairly rare demo.
The demo basically consists of the chapter Delos Landing, except it ends after the Juggernaut fight. There are also some pretty cool mechanics differences compared to the main game, but I guess I'll look more into them the year 2016.
The classic Delos fights skip by findlestick works in the demo too. However, you got to pull it off using an unique demo-only high jump. For some reason the Unarmed air L1+O gives you much better height in the demo than in the full game, so you can combine that with "slightly higher double jump" to barely make it onto the platform above and from there skip... well, almost everything.
After that there's only the Juggernaut fight. You have to fight him and finish him off using the mini-game to activate the final cutscene and end the demo. Since fire magic is slow, I just use normal melee attacks. I build up Rage, then try to keep the foe stunlocked. The fight could have gone a little faster, but I'm still overall happy with this run because the fight skip is not easy to pull off first try.
And that wraps things up for this year, maybe. To reiterate: have a very reasonable holiday.
