L.A. Noire - The Red Lipstick Murder wasted potential and some glitches
17I: going to The Bamba Club early. No one is there yet, but on the table there is a deadly clue that will crash the game if examined.
II: Celine's apartment early. No important clues are active at this point...
III: a dialogue glitch in the Restaurant. On the first visit, I didn't ask the first question all the way through. Instead, I cancelled the question and progressed the game after getting the clue about the registration plate. Returning later, there's a new query about Alonzo Mendez. After asking about that, it looks like there are no more questions, but talking to Nesco again makes Cole select the inactive question and ask the first unfinished question again. Doing things in a wrong order like this also allows you to have "Alonzo Mendez" and "Hispanic Suspect" as separate People entries!
IV: Jacob's apartment early. No one's there and no important clues are active.
V: a glitch I accidentally activated during one speedrun attempt of this level. I examined the note on the fridge and quickly put it back. It seems this already activates the "exit trigger" that makes Rusty get on the phone, etc. Then I picked up the note again and got stuck staring at the note while Rusty's dialogue is on and Cole repeated his examining line twice. Very bad for speed.
