Catching up to satvara and findle...

I think this is one of the highest variations you can do with just these two items. Still has its limits, but it is far better than nothing!

1. Rising Assault (gets you higher than a jump).
2. I use square air attack because it gives you a small momentum boost upwards for your next attack.
3. This attack could be either Avalanche Punch or Holy Water, but since you can't do Water after gauntlet attacks, I find Water goes into the combo conveniently here.
4. Avalanche Punch.
5. At this point using a triangle hit also gives you a decent boost.
6. You can do at least two Waters in the combo and still have it pay off. So here's the second one.
7. Second Avalanche Punch for height. Also, turn towards the opposite direction during this attack...
8. Finally, Landslide Punch is what you have to use for a finisher as long as you don't have the wings. It's a move during which Gabriel moves backwards, normally making it insuitable for a purpose like this, but you can manipulate the move to work in your favor in a jump by turning towards the opposite direction during the last Avalanche Punch. Now you can turn around again during Landslide Punch and have it carry you towards the direction you want to go.

I'm half-tempted to start writing something for this game...
