LAB LOVE: a BBTAG Labrys Combo Video
All combos were performed by hand without tool-assistance.
BGM: Lotus Love - 岸田 - Super Sonic Speed Star
0:00 Combo after fully charged axe super. Pretty sure you need a counter hit and the right height for it but you might be able to combo after even if it isn't fully charged.
0:26 B overhead axe starter. Pretty simple but the 2B sideswitch looks cool.
0:34 Combo off j214B from jBB. This one is fairly practical if you otg with 2A.
0:42 Max range 5A combo. Usually you can't get a full combo at this range but EX chain into slide gives you a 4A link.
0:50 Anti-airdash 2B combo. Shows how you can get more than a simple air series off of anti air 2B.
0:58 Comboing after j214 is height dependent. The opponent has to be above you in the air. This version does more damage than the jBB version but the timing and height for the super jump airdash part is tricky.
1:06 5A 2B into 5AAA. Shows off how you can get a 236B 6 B link on a grounded opponent without 4A starter.
1:17 CH jB into EX chain. Comboing off chain without a follow up. If you get an air to air CH jB, usually it's better to do run up 5A but this is still an option.
1:24 Corner bnb starting from 5A. Labry's chains are a little weird since she can go backwards from 2/5B into 5A. It really helps with pressure as well as combos.
1:32 Reverse hitting CH 214B. 7 214s in one combo. Originally, I wanted to show how you could combo off 214A with that same setup but the extra 214B at the start ended up being better overall.
1:50 5 Chains in one combo. I could've gotten more with a cross combo or resonance but saved those for later.
2:04 Anti air 2B into jC. Comboing off of j214 twice.
2:13 Combo from 4P. Starts with a back tech rather than a forward tech. Labrys normals just reach that far.
2:25 DHC combo. It's better to start a combo with 214B in this situation but backwards j214B looks cooler.
2:35 Active switch combo. The hitstun decay is so large at the end that only EX 214 will combo after that last 5A.
2:43 Counter hit A chain followup. 3 j214As in a combo. This will only work on characters that can be hit by otg 4A.
2:52 DP punish. Not a TOD but still good damage. The assist is used sparingly in order to get to red axe before cross combo ran out.
3:11 Resonance EX chain loop. If the hitstun decay is too large, they'll drop out of the followup. Linking EX chain off the followup without the sweep in between alleviates this a bit.
3:27 Crossup jB + 5P. In order for the B chain follow up to hit at that height you need to delay the chain dash a bit and also delay the slide part until right about the end of the chain dash.
Also, you can buffer chain dash during the cross combo activation, making it easier to get 5P rather than 6P afterward. Very useful for midscreen cross combos.
3:41 Full charge axe super double kill. I tried to make the situation as realistic as possible but this probably isn't happening in a match. Might happen against a Vatista or Narukami that likes to full screen super though.
Thanks for watching.
