To connect the new riverside house to the rest of the village, we start digging out the space for a new path! The land is quite steep, and we end up excavating most of the dirt, exposing the stone beneath! We build scaffolding towers to look at the overall shape of the landscape from above, and we try to make the terrain look natural!

Entering the house, we look around before cutting some birch trees outside! Climbing to the roof of the house, we look at the side of the hill! We decide to clear away some dirt for the entrance to the house! Flattening the land, we break the remaining birch leaves!

Climbing up the hill, we head towards the village, looking for a good route for the path! We enter the village for a brief moment to look at the existing mossy path! We cut down an oak tree just outside the village walls that seems to be in the way!

We clear the oak leaves carefully, taking care not to affect a neighbouring tall oak tree! Then, we cut away some jungle planks so that we can lower the land! After digging away more dirt, we build a scaffolding tower to look down at the landscape!

Continuing to dig, we place down dirt blocks to raise the land on the other side of the path! We try to keep the blades of tall grass at the same positions! The sun sets, and we head indoors to sleep! The next day, we place down more dirt, heightening the side of the hill!

As we dig, the route of the path becomes clear! We climb up to the pillar of scaffolding and make it shorter so that we can get a better view of the ground! We replace the exposed dirt blocks under the nearby oak trees with oak logs!

Cutting into the side of the hill, we eventually see some stone blocks! We build another scaffolding tower on the line of jungle planks! This new tower is much taller than the original one, and we get a good view of the forest village, the area marked for expansion, and the riverside house!

Realising that our path will need to curve a little to avoid some large oak trees, we return to the ground! We place down more dirt on the right side of the path and dig away the dirt on the left! We mine away some of the stone blocks as well!

Crafting some spruce planks, we place them on the path to mark the locations where it will change in height! We head to the riverside house to keep away our dirt blocks because our inventory is filling up! Back outside, we continue to extend the path towards the village!

As the path curves, it also increases in height! We adjust the landscape to fit the curved section of the path. The sky darkens and we sleep! The next day, we work on the slope of the hill! We accidentally break a block of tall grass and we head back to the village to get a replacement!

Taking out some tall grass from the chests outside of the cleric's shop, we also shear the sheep! The villagers go to work as we craft a new grey bed! We place the bed on the second floor of the new house before carrying on with the construction of the new path!

Oops! We accidentally break another blade of tall grass! We place a block of stone to mark where it was before replacing it! Excavating the dirt, we decrease the width of the path as the diagonal section looks wider than the straight section! There is still a lot of dirt left to dig up!

The path reaches the line of jungle planks, and we dismantle the tall pillar of scaffolding! We collect the scaffolding items before removing the planks! We will need to rebuild the village boundaries again, but first, we smoothen out the sharp edges of the land!

We craft more spruce planks and place them on the path! While digging, we destroy yet another blade of tall grass, and we head to the forest village to get more! We extend the path a little more before going to sleep! In the morning, we climb the scaffolding tower to look at our progress!

Curving the path so that it is straight again, we see an oak tree in front of it! We cut down the tree and remove its leaves! Then, we proceed to dig! Using the F3 debug screen, we check our coordinates and see where the path would lead to as it goes up the hill!

Once we are satisfied with the appearance of the new landscape, we return to the riverside house! We craft a new chest to keep our dirt blocks in, and we place it under the split staircase! We move all of our dirt into it before ending the episode!
