Dominoes is a classic tile-based game that can be played with 2 or more players. The game is played with a set of domino tiles, each with two sides that feature a number of dots (also known as pips) ranging from 0 to 6. The goal of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all your tiles, by matching the ends of the tiles to form a continuous line.
To start the game, each player draws tiles from the boneyard (a pile of tiles) until they have a set number of tiles. The remaining tiles are then placed face down to form the boneyard. The player with the highest double tile (a tile with the same number of pips on both ends) starts the game by placing it in the center of the table.
On each turn, players must play a tile that matches the number of pips on one of the open ends of the line. If a player cannot play a tile, they must draw tiles from the boneyard until they are able to play.
The game continues in this way until one player runs out of tiles or the game is blocked, meaning no player is able to play any more tiles. In a blocked game, the player with the lowest total number of pips on their remaining tiles wins.
When playing with Block rules, the game ends as soon as a player is unable to play any more tiles, and the player with the lowest total number of pips on their remaining tiles wins. This means that players must be strategic and try to keep their highest numbered tiles for as long as possible.
