Released on 29 October 2015 by Robot Invader, Dead Secret is set in a small farmhouse in rural Kansas in the year 1965. Many rooms are initially locked, requiring thorough searching, collecting items, and solving puzzles to proceed forward. The game maintains a strange and somewhat creepy atmosphere, with its plot dipped in a combination of murder mystery and supernatural thriller.
Interaction is done entirely using RMB and prompts given for LMB. Similar to a point-and-click, this game also uses timed events to escape certain dangers (e.g., clicking footprints [which move your character] before a danger reaches you).
Shortly after the death of a university professor, a small-town reporter returns to his house to piece together what really happened, and who killed him. With the killer still on the loose and supernatural things happening, the entire investigation becomes a lesson in survival. What is the truth? Let's play Dead Secret and see.
