Gameplay from Left-Hand Path, a Dark Souls inspired roomscale VR dungeon crawler RPG for the HTC Vive HMD.

Left-Hand Path places you in a dark castle filled with gruesome monsters. Cast spells by drawing runes in the air with the HTC Vive motion controllers. Perform rituals, discover secrets, and slay monsters as you make your way through the castle.

This game has some unique combat and locomotion mechanics. All the combat is done by casting spells, and you have to draw shapes in the air to cast spells. To cast a fireball, draw a circle in the air. You are given the choice between touchpad locomotion and teleportation. The touchpad locomotion system works by holding the HTC Vive controller touchpad, and then moving in a direction, then the game carries you forwards in that direction.

Left-Hand Path was inspired by Dark Souls. It has a very grim atmosphere and unforgiving mechanics. It uses a similar death system to Dark Souls where dying will send you back to your starting point at the beginning of the level and all enemies will respawn. The game definitely has a soulslike vibe without feeling like a ripoff.
