Legacy Collection MMBN 5C: Skipping ahead.
Alright 4 is on the backburner for maybe later or maybe 100% shenanigans and it's time for me to go with my favorite of the series.
So, we start off like all the other games, the same exact tutorial as always, and then we move onto the new stuff. The whole gimmick in this game is the liberation missions where you actually get to use other navis. Which is more or less the same as using Megaman but they got their own charge shot and unique chip in battles, but outside of battles its more like a turn based strategy game. Since characters have their own unique skill I'm going to say its more like a Disgaea game than a Fire Emblem game.
Now the liberation missions I remember getting a lot of flak back in the day, but I didn't really understand why, its more like an addition to the usual gameplay of the series since before a liberation mission we tend to recruit a navi to join the team and that plays out like any of the arcs in previous games. Maybe its because you get rewards based on clear time and you have to replay the missions instead of fighting ghost navi out in the wild net? Oh... maybe it was the turn limit for liberating squares.
Also... I really need to save more often when I'm prone to just completely whiffing attacks and deciding that restarting a fight is better than wasting time.
