Legend of Spyro TEN Console - Boss Guide Part 5
16This is the last part concerning the boss guide for the console verison of Spyro: The Eternal Night. And we're dealing with the Malefor bosses - confronting the Assassin for the second time and the epic encounter against Gaul.
Now that I stated what will be the basic contents, I might as well state now that neither of those three were my best fights, for a few reasons:
With the Assassin I had it set in my head that I WANTED to defeat it without taking any sort of damage, at least to try and make up for my mistakes at Fellmuth. My overexcitement lead me to take a couple of hits though but I'm not too worried.
I was also easily overexcitable with fighting Gaul the first time; while I managed to get through the course just fine, there were a few jumps over shockwaves that I ended up somehow getting caught in, but I was okay either way. Even for the elitists that think that Dragon Time shouldn't be used for this first form, you're looking for someone who made a few attempts to escape from Gaul's jumping without using it, only for him to suddenly pounce on top of me during my routine. So yes, I believe Dragon Time is a core recommendation here.
As for the second fight, I am a lot more proud of what I managed to end up doing. I admit I faced a couple of screw-ups with his laser attacks near the beginning (one of which was a cheap one launched as soon as the fight started) but other than that, I managed to go through the core elements just fine (even the unnecessary unlimited breath supply; what the heck was going on with that?).
It's been a long ride through and through. My fights throughout the game weren't as perfect as I would have wanted it to be (some of those mistakes being intentional, namely Arborick and the Ice Spirit) but I believe I showed as much as I can to help everyone get through the game. Surely no one will ever get stuck anymore.
