I do not use the NES classic edition's save state feature (except for the money making minigame. *laughs evilly 😈😈) I did not use the save state feature for dungeons or the overworld.
If there are long pauses in the video, it means I'm looking at a map for either the overworld or a dungeon map.I forgot where some of the dungeons & items are located. I made a video showing the original Legend of Zelda instruction booklet & it is in my playlist titled: Video Game Instruction Booklets playlist. The video is now up on my Legend of Zelda playthrough playlist. Some of these dungeons were done out of order as LOZ is one of the earliest non-linear video games. The only way to manually save the game was to get a gameover & select "save" from the gameover screen. I DO NOT own the Legend of Zelda franchise. Credit goes to Nintendo. (Timestamps are ➡️) At 0:00:00, I use the Metroid password system to say "Welcome to my channel". There wasn't enough space in it's password system. Afterwards, I quickly exited the original Metroid. At 0:01:21, I start the game. At 0:01:23, I start my search for the level 2 sword called The White Sword. Unlike the level 1 sword, it's not made out of wood & it deals more damage. You need atleast 6 hearts to wield the blade. At 0:03:38, I'm close to the cave where the old man who has the White Sword lives. At 0:04:04, I head inside the cave to obtain the White Sword. At 0:06:31, the merchant that lives in this secret cave sells the level 2 shield The Magical Shield at a lower price of 90 rupees instead of 160 rupees. The Magical Shield is larger & protects Link from energy attacks & spells. Unfortunately, this shield can be eaten by enemies called "Like-likes". At 0:07:56, my next dungeon to clear out is the level 3 one. I should tell you, when I get the dungeon map, don't be alarmed. The shape of the dungeon IS NOT a nazi swastika. It is a Buddhist symbol called a Manji & it represents good fortune. Because Legend of Zelda was originally made in Japan, it did not cause any controversy. Overseas however, there were some complaints. Shockingly, there weren't as many complaints about the level 3 dungeon's shape, but there were complaints nonetheless. Sometimes I'll have to leave a dungeon I'm trying to clear out to restock on supplies like potions or ammo. At 0:20:01, I obtain my third Triforce shard. At 0:22:16, I head to the 4th dungeon to clear it out. At 0:31:00, I obtain my fourth Triforce shard. At 0:49:58, I pay an old woman for the location on the level 5 dungeon. At 0:50:30, I head inside the level 5 dungeon to clear it out. At 1:09:12, I obtained my fifth Triforce shard. 1:09:30, I head back in the level 5 dungeon to try to kill the Pols Voice (enemies with big rabbit-like ears) with the Recorder. If I can weaken the boss called Digdogger with the Recorder, why not the Pols Voice? Turns out the Recorder doesn't work on the Pols Voice after all. I explained why in my video showing the LOZ instruction booklet. I did some of these dungeons out of order. Instead of doing the level 6 dungeon next, I decided to do the level 7 dungeon next. At 1:12:40, I use the Recorder to dry the pond hiding the entrance the level 7 dungeon. Level 7 was one of the most challenging dungeons in the game. At 1:42:30, I obtain my sixth Triforce shard. (In the level 7 dungeon instead) At 1:43:30, I let the Moblins kill me as the only way to manually save the game is to get a gameover. On the gameover screen, select "save" to record your progress. I take a break between 1:43:54 - 1:46:04. At 1:48:07, I head inside the level 8 dungeon. At died in level 8 at 1:56:14. I tried to use the Recorder to take me to the entrance of level 2 as it's the closest to level 8, but it only randomly chooses a dungeon. I gave up afterwards. At 2:03:06, I head back in level 8. Died in lv8 again at 2:08:12. I restock on rupees, supplies, & I start my search for the level 3 sword, The Magic Sword, at 2:08:19. Uncovered the gravestone where the Magical Sword is at 2:17:20. Returned to level 8 once again at 2:20:59. Got my seventh Triforce shard at 2:34:06. At 2:35:22, I use the Metroid password system to say "Thanks for tuning in. Please rate, comment & subscribe.
