We believe that many user and critic reviews of games focus too much on how long the main story is in a video game to "beat" and not enough on its quality. Furthermore, they sometimes completely ignore the wealth of side activities, achievements, collectibles and replay value associated with shorter games. Some people seem to only buy games to watch cutscenes! It is true that most people don't finish the average game's "main" campaign, never mind exploring additional features and modes. It is not uncommon to see reviews of a fantastic game be highly critical of the length of the cutscenes (pretty much); yet the reviewer has completely dismissed all the other content because they didn't care for it.
