Are we missing something here? Clearly it's possible from a technical standpoint, but developers dismiss this great opportunity. Sure, there's a lot of work involved in making sure everything runs smoothly and yes, there will be some legal issues too but if more people demanded cross platform and developers made an active effort to support it, multiplayer gaming could be a lot better for everyone.
