Welcome to Resident Evil 2 - the remake that breathed life into the resurrected franchise!
Although this is not a new game to either Peyton or James, we are excited to play through as many of the Resident Evil games that we can sink our teeth into...or at least until the horrendous controls begin to get the best of us.
For those unfamiliar with the game, this version of Resident Evil 2 is a remake of the 1998 action zombie-apocalypse game that defined the genre. There are two distinct story-based campaigns: Claire Redfield or Leon Kennedy. Each campaign has minor differences, to be honest. Both of their stories overlap throughout the journey, which makes the tedious repetition of puzzles worth it in the end.
As a heads up, we do start the game as Leon.
In this episode, we play as Leon Kennedy, the rookie cop who is starting his first day at Raccoon City Police Department (RCPD). However, he comes to find that the whole city and the police station has been overrun and decimated by animated corpses that feast on the living. What is happening? Who caused the virus outbreak? And why in the hell does Claire think that the apocalypse is a good time to start flirting with random guys?! Stick around to find out the answers to all of these questions, except maybe that last one.
