"Lester the Unlikely" is a platform video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by DTMC for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1994. At the outset, Lester is a somewhat geeky and perpetually drowsy teenager engrossed in the latest issue of the Super Duper Hero Squad comic book.

Lost in his reading, Lester strolls along a dock until fatigue overcomes him, and he drifts off next to a cargo crate beside a docked ship. The ship with the cargo gets hijacked by pirates. Lester finds a life jacket and swim toward the most adjacent island while the cargo ship sinks. Lester must now find his way home by exploring the island for someone or something that can help him survive.

The game features a unique gameplay element where Lester is initially timid, particularly evident when encountering animals or heights early on. However, he slowly overcomes his fear. This aligns with one of the game's central themes: Lester's journey to confront his fears, a motif that diminishes as the game unfolds. Later levels depict him with a more upright and courageous stance, symbolizing his newfound bravery and resolve.

Overall, "Lester the Unlikely" for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) has a really unconventional and humorous presentation. His awkward, cringe-worthy walk resembles a bizarre crotch thrusting motion, and encountering unexpected obstacles, such as a harmless turtle, prompts him to flee with panicked screams. At its core, the game is a solid platformer, and the humor adds to it and makes it a unique and enjoyable experience.
