2Time to check the Demo of "Ebenezer and the Invisible World", a 2D Metroidvania adventure based on Charles Dickens’ classic novel, "A Christmas Carol".
You play as Ebenezer Scrooge, who is no longer a miser, but a agile hero with the ability to talk to spirits and use their abilities fighting enemies while exploring the Victorian London.
The game has beautiful hand-drawn artwork, with pretty good animation and a decent soundtrack.
Where the game shines is the gameplay. The movement of Ebenezer is responsive and fast. You can use your spirits to move around and fight. There are also materials you can gather to craft stuff, find gear and more. The game reminds me a lot of the "Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night" and older Castlevania games like the "Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow".
Overall a pretty good action platformer for the Metroidvania fans with a really unique setting.
Never thought i would be playing Ebenezer Scrooge as an action hero :)
