0It's time for a proper showdown with Ketheric Thorm, with nowhere for him to run and no army left in our way. He's not completely out of tricks, however, and the first of the Dead Three isn't about to give up on their best pawn without a fight. More on those guys later. For now, the important thing is the other two Chosen are taking their giant brain and leaving for Baldur's Gate, with dire consequences when it gets there. That fancy crown is keeping the so-called Absolute in line, but it's clear that the tenuous alliance needed for this crazy plan is starting to fracture.
Still, a victory is a victory! One down, two to go; we take a well-earned long rest or two, make the rounds at camp, and even get some rare information from Withers. Most notable, however, is Aylin revealing Shadowheart's backstory, and the shocking twist that the amnesia murder cult may have been lying to her about something important. I know, right?
