Let's Play Beyond the Edge of Owlsgard #03: Checking out the Coast
Finn's parents vanishing isn't an isolated incident, but it's clear that the people of the valley have already decided who is at fault here: the wolves. Driven out of the community and isolated by huge, imposing walls and a long time ago, many are the tales of wolves snatching people up and generally being evil and cruel. They have become the scapegoat of the area, being blamed for each and every little thing that goes wrong while being 'punished' by the ruler of the land for crimes they likely didn't commit.
What we've heard and seen doesn't point towards wolves being behind our parents being taken, but we're going to have a hard time indeed persuading everyone else about this. For now, let's focus on exploring the areas outside town for more clues. Who knows, maybe someone else saw something.
Owlsgard has a ton of optional interactions, something that I love in games of this genre. It's not to the same degree as Edna & Harvey: The Breakout and honestly, that's a good thing. As much as I enjoyed hunting down all the little additions in that game, it was truly staggering how long you could spend using just one inventory item on everything. So far Owlsgard has a good mixture of generic dialogue and unique ones for doing things and it's my hope this pattern will continue as the game goes on.
