69Terri and her companions were able to best Sendai’s priestess, leaving the general with very few allies left to throw at us. That she will throw them at us is a given considering what we’ve seen of her, though one has to ask at this point just what she’s buying time for. She’s clearly not trying to escape and it’s very unlikely that reinforcements are on their way to save her. She might be hoping beyond all hope that one of her underlings dispatches us but at this point the odds of that are very slim indeed.
Sendai has one more ace up her sleeve and what a long sleeve it is. Our encounter with her is going to be far from conventional and is there to teach us something very important about the big battles to come: you must manage your resources wisely. It’s all fine and well resting after every major encounter but there’ll be times that you won’t get that chance. Sendai is one such example, though that doesn’t mean she’s a difficult battle for us.
