It's been knocking around in Steam Early Access for a while, but in this let's play Caveblazers 1.0 gameplay video we finally get a chance to play the first post-early access full version, with future content updates still to come.
Caveblazers 1.0 gameplay remains the same Spelunky-style roguelike dungeon-diving, with a blend of melee and ranged combat, only now with even more content to discover - including an actual ending to the game!
We play the first few levels and fight some bosses, including one we've never seen before, taking a look at some of the new Caveblazers 1.0 gameplay highlights that officially include:
- More everything! Blessings, perks, areas, items, weapons, challenges, the lot!
- Secret areas
- More story elements, including an ending to the game
- Unlockable modifiers which change the way the game is played
- Modifiers also act as a 'Customizable Hardcore Mode', increasing your score, increasing the difficulty, and giving you an entirely different final area & final boss
- View your statistics & progress, complete with fancy pie charts!

"Caveblazers is a pseudo-multiplayer platformer roguelike set in a fantasy world. Each game is unique with procedurally generated levels to explore, and a massive amount of items, weapons and equipment.
Caveblazers gameplay attempts to emulate a multiplayer experience by incorporating random encounters with other "players". These players are AI controlled characters which behave like other players and have randomized behavioral characteristics which will depict how they interact with other players. Some will follow and help you, some will run from you, and some will be aggressive towards you."
