We've already taken our first look at alpha 17, but here we start a full let's play, choosing a mountainous location and Randy Random as storyteller, dialling down the difficulty so we can build the best base possible without immediately dying in a comical explosion!

In this first episode of let's play RimWorld alpha 17 gameplay, we start our base with the idea that we don't want it to be one large building, we want it to be protected from raiders, and we want to build it as fireproof as possible.

We build our accommodation block across the river, which seems like a good idea except we can't run any powerlines across the river. We also build all the usual stuff to start off a base - hopefully one that won't catch fire.

Also in this let's play RimWorld alpha 17 gameplay video, we meet colonists Backwoods, Wimpessa (who has the new Wimp trait), Young 'Un, Punkfist and Chubs. Will any of them live up to LadyTeabaggings, who was on that one stream we did the other day, eh?
